I recently had a distressing experience with Dr. Lynch and Gaston Eye Associates that I felt compelled to share. My father visited for an eye exam, and everything quickly turned chaotic.
First off, they dilated his eyes without informing him--a crucial detail that left him utterly freaked out when his vision started to blur. It's essential for patients, especially seniors, to know what to expect after such procedures! When I called the office after hours, the answering service was less than helpful. I was told to call back tomorrow and insinuated that no Dr. Lynch worked there that evening. After demanding a callback, I finally spoke with Dr. Lynch herself.
Unfortunately, her attitude was anything but compassionate. She insisted they had informed my dad about the dilation, but when I asked if he left with sunglasses or any information on what to expect, her response was a sharp no. This lack of empathy is concerning, especially in a healthcare setting where understanding and support should be paramount.
Given this experience, my dad won't be returning, and I wouldn't trust my loved ones with them either. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make improvements for future patients. Seniors deserve proper care and respect!
Visited this office today for the first time and was nervous because I've never been to an eye doctor before, but the experience was absolutely wonderful! Liz was truly amazing--so warm, patient, and welcoming from the very start. She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, explained everything clearly, and genuinely made the visit enjoyable. She is incredibly personable and such a joy to be around. Dr. Lynch was also very thorough, made sure I felt heard, and explained everything in great detail. The wait time was pretty much nonexistent, and everyone--from check-in to check-out--was incredibly kind and helpful, especially when explaining what my insurance would and wouldn't cover. I couldn't have asked for a better first experience!
My son had a piece of metal in his eye and I called to see what we should do. Surprisingly they were able to get him in to be seen within 30 minutes. He was even a new patient there! The lady that took my call was so patient while I fumbled to get our insurance information. The lady at the check-in was so nice and patient while I got all the information together for her. Even the assistant was so nice and helpful! An eye doctor appointment was not on our list of things to do today but everyone we interacted with made it a pleasant experience!
I took my 7 yr old son in for his first ever eye exam with Dr. Lynch and have never been more disrespected by a provider in all my life. She was terribly rude, had an attitude, had no idea how to talk to a child, insulted me, and walked out of the exam room mid conversation. I also arrived at 2:45 for a 3:10 appointment and wasn't seen until 4pm by the doctor.
Not the best experience with Dr. Lynch. I waited over an hour to be seen, even though I completed all the forms prior to the appointment. The environment was not child- or toddler-friendly, and I ultimately had to ask just to be seen. The entire appointment ended up lasting over three hours, and the doctor tried to place the blame on my toddler's behavior, even though the tech apologized and explained they were behind due to supporting multiple patients.Had to even ask for a prescription. Overall, it was very disappointing.
The employees at this company is rude and hateful and do not care about their patients at all. Doctor Lynch and her associate were extremely rude hateful to me because I was trying to get my vision insurance issue fixed so I would not have to pay out of pocket and they point blank told me that I would have to leave to get it worked out or pay for my exam myself. They wouldn't even give me time to talk with the insurance company on the phone before telling me to leave.
The people here are RUDE and DISTASTEFUL. They need to FIRE whoever answered the phone . Is she serious? I've never been spoken to so disrespectful. Over a EYE EXAM. They will never get my service OR money. I hope this place goes bankrupt.
I love how Dr's offices expect you to arrive on time and then make you wait and wait and wait. We have been going through this everytime we come here ON TIME.Then if you dont arrive you get the phone calls stating you missed your appt and need to reschedule. This is not good business practices. If my roommate didn't need Cataract surgery we would have stopped coming here. It's just a waste of our time. They need better scheduling practices. We've been waiting over an an hour and haven't seen the Dr yet. Pretty sad and disappointing.
