Allegany Optical

The last two times I went to Allegany Optical no York road in Carlisle PA I had a very bad experience. The lady that fit my glasses was inexperienced and first told ma that they no longer carried the safety frames that I waited. After talking with another parson I found that they were still available. I then told her than I safety weight lenses in my glasses and she said they would be in in about a week. I checked in about a week later and glasses were in but not with safety lenses. Another lady said that they would reorder my glasses and it would take another week. Two of the people that served me were disrespectful. The only one that treated me well was lady that reordered for me. I will never do business with AO again.

This office is WORLDS better than the Noble Blvd office when it comes to customer service!!! I called that other office and was so turned off by the deplorable attitude of the woman answering the telephone that I seriously debated just NOT making an eye doctor appointment for my son. However, with degenerative conditions that run in our family and the fact that we were limited to where we were able to go due to our insurance I figured I would give this office a try. COMPLETELY opposite experience; they were friendly, helpful and scheduled us very promptly. So, if you're in Carlisle - regardless of where in Carlisle, I would recommend you SKIP the Noble Blvd office and call York Rd!!!

My wife went in for a routine appointment to get a new contact prescription. Upon arrival, they said she didn't have an appointment and denied having called her to confirm her appointment (despite being in her phone's call history), and generally acted like it was her fault somehow. They told her they could fit her in as a walk-in. They had her fill out some paperwork and then did a few tests, after which they had her in a waiting room for nearly an hour without her contacts, so she couldn't even leave if she wanted to. During this long wait, she had the opportunity to listen to the staff be extremely disrespectful to a disabled customer, as well make a number of racist remarks about yet another customer who wasn't immediately present. The complete and utter lack of professionalism and customer service displayed by this office's staff is simply appalling.

They try and down play you like ur stupid and dont know anything. There racist as well and very disrespectful.
