I went in about 6 weeks ago now and I had originally a great experience. The tech was fantastic and the person who checked me out was really nice. I ordered a pair of sunglasses as well as a pair of lenses for my current frames. I have had to call into the store twice over the last 6 weeks because my sunglasses still haven't arrived. I was told that I should expect them within 7-10 business days. The first phone call I made was 15 business days after my order was placed. The person on the phone was very helpful and very nice and said that there was a delay, but my sunglasses were expected to arrive on November 4th. November 4th came and went and I got no phone call to tell me they were ready or even that they would be delayed. No communication whatsoever. I waited until November 14th to even call in again since I hadn't heard anything. This time, whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. She told me that I needed to wait the 7-10 business days and that sometimes sunglasses take longer. When I tried to explain that it had been 5 weeks already and that I had already been given a new date to expect the sunglasses and it had been 10 days since that date, I was ignored and the individual told me that I just needed to wait because the lab is closed on Saturdays. I don't know how many times I tried to explain that it had been over a month since I had originally placed an order for my glasses before I hung up out of frustration because the person wouldn't listen to me and kept saying the same thing over and over again. I have been promised multiple times that they would call me when my order arrived. I shouldn't have to wait 6 weeks for my sunglasses to come in when I was originally promised 7-10 business days (or roughly 2 weeks). I have been coming to Myeyedr for over 10 years and have never been treated this way or had any issues. At this point, I am very upset with my experience and I will be calling in and asking for a refund and not returning.
It was our first time here. To start off, our appointments were running behind. We had to wait 30 min after our scheduled time to get in a room. The technician was very friendly with the kids so that was good. Here's what made me upset. My daughter was picking out glasses and one of the ladies that fits the glasses was discriminating. It was not Suzzane. Two Middle Eastern man sat down with her to do the fitting when they left she starting wiping the whole space down with clorox wipes. She had not done this to anyone else. My daughter even noticed it and mentioned it to me. Second thing we saw that I think was not correct was the following. A lady came in asking about a receipt that she had paid. While the lady was not looking at her face, the same lady kept rolling her eyes. As soon as she left the store her and another younger looking coworker started talking about her. That was very rude of them. They really need to do something about her.
We have been in this office today. Overall, never come or try to come. They mislead us clearly. They said that insurance will cover your glasses before the visit, but after that they said they're not included. The same question we asked before scheduling the appointment.
This place is great! Dr Harris was amazing and the girls at the front desk were very helpful as well as the tech who helped me along the way as well. I highly recommend this place.
I had no issues, except they told my daughter it was her responsibility to mention contact exam.I've seen the same Dr. at different location. The parking is kind of crappy. I'm waiting for the notification that my glasses are ready since my daughter (same appointment day) was already notified. I'll update if need.
As with practically every vision place I have visited over the years, MyEyeDr is pricey and does a lot of upselling beyond what vision plans cover. That point is not the basis of them losing stars in my review, but it is an important point to make in general.
MyEyeDr lost one star for their business hours being inconvenient. Being open just an hour later for people to pickup their glasses would make a world of difference, in example.
Another star was lost because I feel their staff does not listen to the customer. For my fitting, I advised the technician of an issue I commonly have with the fittings and I gave precise guidance of how to work with it. The technician disregarded my statements when recording the measurements for my lenses. As a result, the lenses were incorrectly cut and had to be redone. For the redo fitting, I had a different technician who sort of listened to my guidance. They wouldn't make the entire correction that I requested, but instead split the difference. Well - the glasses are better, but still incorrect and they will not redo them again without me paying for it. If I am paying for them to fix their mistake, I'll take my business elsewhere - and I did.
The third star was lost, because they force purchasing their eyewear protection plan, without asking. These plans are not FSA eligible. I had a tremendous issue with my FSA administrator because of this.
Horrible customer service. You can tell some don't want to be there. I had Patrice who knows just about nothing when it comes to glasses. She just wanted me in and out that's it. I am going elsewhere now.
Eye doctor was cool, no worries there.
IF I could give 0 stars I most deff would. The entire experience was TERRIBLE. Had i done the research and read reviews I promise you we would NOT have came here. Our appointment was at 4pm we got here a few mins early, waited about 35 mins or so to see the doctor which isn't the terrible part. Its everything after that. So after seeing the doctor, he is told to go get his glasses noone shows him where to go. He is told only orange and yellow taxes. HOWEVER on the kids wall there isn't any yellow or orange tags. Then when we find the right color tags on another wall we are told nope you can't have those because you dont have that insurance. So the ONLY glasses he can get are a small select few and the frames are bigger than his face. He needed an excuse for school, when we recieved it from Brenda at the front desk, I asked for a diff one because the one given to us was incorrect after talking to the doctor they gave the same one back. So when I went up to Brenda at the desk telling her it was incorrect and I needed a new one she was deff annoyed that I asked. Then she whited it out and I asked for an entirely new paper as I know my sons school so I know it would have been an issue with all the whiting out it would have needed. So Brenda decided she was going to huff and puff and be upset because I was trying to make life easier for myself with my sons school. The after she came back and tryed apologizing to me giving some BS excuse I said I dont really care. That upset her, look you dont get to treat us like this and expect me to wanna listen to your sob story. Experience here from beginning to end was TERRIBLE... TAKE MY ADVICE AND DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE YHIS LOCATION YOUR BUSINESS BECAUSE TRUST ME THE STAFF HERE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOU AND YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE MOST UNFRIENDLY, UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE I HAVE MET IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I will pay out of pocket for an eye exam moving forward for my child and then order his glasses and frames online before we get anything else from this location again EVER.
