Front office staff called a week before my scheduled appointment to tell me they have to reschedule. Only to reschedule me for the same day/time as previously scheduled. But then, upon arrival, and although already pre approved, wanted to scan physical cards. My vision insurance only provides digital cards. The front office staff told me I could not be seen without physical cards. I've since transferred to another practice that of course accepts digital cards and preauthorization.

It's bullshit that they treat someone who has stage 1 dementia like crap because that patient forgot when his appointment was and wouldn't reschedule because they logged it as a no-show. Complete disregard for the mentally handicap!!

If I could rate this practice with less than one star I would! I scheduled my 90-year-old mother and myself for appointments with the ophthalmologist in this practice. My mother has a complicated health history that puts her at risk for vision loss. After her ophthalmologist of many decades retired last year she decided to try Horizon Eye. We were there for between 1.5 and 2 hours walked away without even knowing what her (or my) visual acuity was. At the end of the appointment they said we would need to schedule separate appointments with an optometrist in the practice to get visual acuity completed. That appointment could not be made for another month out. I think this is deceptive to bring in the revenue of a second insurance copay. When I was examined I asked questions about a medical procedure to address extreme ptosis bilaterally. Without doing a visual field exam he immediately said I would need to see a plastic surgeon and that it would not be covered by insurance. First of all, a visual field exam is required to rule out whether the procedure is considered cosmetic or not! I was so disgusted that I decided not to even press the issue and scheduled an appointment to have an exam done all over again at another practice in town. What a waste of time, and money. I'll just bet Medicare would love to know how their $ is being utilized providing incomplete exams.

I am so glad I found this place. I found the office staff and the doctor were both professional and very friendly. Dr. B even went above and beyond checking prices of different brands of contacts for my son. They don't have the largest selection of glasses to pick from but the staff and 5 star customer service I received last week will have our family going back.

I waited 75 minutes after my appointment time and hadn't seen a doctor. I just left. These people have absolutely no consideration for your time. Let's see if they try to bill me for a non-service appointment.

I see a lot of bad reviews. My experience was outstanding. I received occupational lenses which have performed as expected since I received them in May 2024. It is disappointing, however, to see that one of the doctors performs their procedures at O.S.I. in Carlisle, Pa. It is my opinion that O.S.I. does not have the patient's best interests at heart. Should I need the care of an Ophthalmologist, I will have to go elsewhere. Let me finish by stating again that my experience receiving my eyeglasses from Dr. Bednarik has been exceptional.

Their hours make it very difficult to schedule if you have two working parents and your kids are not home schooled. Finally, got an appointment. The appointment went well and we ordered my daughters glasses. Glasses took forever to come in. When they did, they did not fit her or check to see if they fit properly. We returned a few weeks later as again it was difficult to schedule. They made some adjustments but the frames still slid down her noes. They said we could buy a new pair but that was the best they could do. Then the icing on the cake was a few weeks later my daughter failed her eye exam at school! Their response was oh, your past the dead line. I asked if they where open during Covid shut downs and they said no. But they still refused to work with me to make this right. I would have to come in and buy new glasses and pay for a new eye exam as my insurance only covers one per year. NEVER GO HERE!!

The office visit wasn't bad. I was in and out in a timely manor. The girl who ordered my glasses said it would take a week or so for them to come in. It's been a 4 weeks and I've called 3 times and nobody can tell me why it's taking so long. I just keep getting told they will call me when the glasses come in. I'm beginning to think they got lost in shipment because a month is a ridiculous amount of time to have to wait
