Dr. Haleo is very thorough. He took the time after his after his thorough examination to go over everything he found and answered all my questions. He prescribed a medication and the problem is gone. The issue I had was a little bit of a scare for me, but I knew I chose the right doctor. My eye is all healed, and I will be going to Dr Haleo to help me drive better at night time. I strongly recommend Dr Haleo because he cares to take the time to care. He will keep you calm and laughing at the same time. My wife and I almost didn't want to leave his office. Lol. -- James.

Dr. Haleo was recommended by my daughter's stepmother and father when she had a MRI that detected a mild issue. We scheduled an exam with him to ensure there was no pressure behind her eyes. He was so wonderful and did such a thorough exam and then met with us two days later with a case presentation. He took the time to demonstrate his findings so we could understand her diagnosis and "see what she sees". He explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand and make an educated decision regarding her treatment plan. He made my daughter feel completely comfortable during the exam and I would recommend him to any family or friends.

Having Dr Haleo work with my son through the vision therapy program was an extremely beneficial experience. He knew how to reach him with his manner, and has been instrumental with helping my son's confidence and ability to process his vision. I don't know what we would have done without him. We aren't out of the woods yet, it will take time, but if your child suffers from dyslexia and is having trouble reading, I'll bet he can help.

Dr. Haleo diagnosed and provided vision therapy to my son for over a year. The difference he made in my son's life has been immeasurable. Dr. Haleo always took the time to explain to me exactly what they worked on each session and why they were doing everything. He really helped me to understand the challenges my son was facing and at the end of it all, fixed the problem. Dr. Haleo doesn't have a secretary or assistant, which I LOVED. If I called with a question Dr. Haleo returned my call and Dr. Haleo did all of my son's treatment personally. I didn't have to worry about assistants that weren't trained properly and not being able to speak to a doctor, which happens so often in large practices. My son received personal attention and the change in him after receiving treatment was enormous. I highly recommend Dr. Haleo!!

Dr. Haleo's expertise and years of experience was worth every penny. My son had huge leaps in reading and attention and visual motor skills in just 3 months. My son's kindergarten teacher said, "whatever you are doing keep doing it because he is a different student than 3 months ago in his abilities to focus, participate and learn in the classroom." What we did was travel 3 hours every two weeks for vision therapy with Dr. Haleo. Well worth it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Haleo's for almost 6 months now, and can't thank him enough for the strides he has helped me make! I had a concussion 12 years ago which lead to post concussive syndrome. As my body adapted and made compensations over the years, it became less noticeable, but I continued to get headaches with reading, computer work, shifting my focus, motion sickness, getting thrown off balance when looking up, not feeling right with focusing, etc. I've been to multiple doctors over the years for the headaches, and even did Vestibular Therapy. As a healthcare professional myself who has a vast knowledge base on concussions, I was relieved when I filled out an inquiry and Dr. Haleo personally called me to talk for about an hour see if he thought he would be able to help me before automatically setting up an appointment. We set up a comprehensive evaluation for later that week, which was very thorough and very well done. Not only did Dr. Haleo explain everything that he was screening for, and how I performed on the individual tests, he also explained the "why" behind everything. I'm currently doing vision therapy with Dr. Haleo, and have noticed significant changes in my everyday life. I no longer get headaches when reading or doing computer work. I no longer lose my place when shifting my focus, nor do I get headaches or feel thrown off/not right. Most amazingly, I recently got back from a trip to Disney World and was able to instantly reorient myself when the Space Mission LAUNCH and the Tea Cups rides stopped! No continued spinning, no headaches, and no motion sickness! Dr. Haleo is very experienced (35+ years) and great a what he does. He also does all of the vision therapy himself, which you won't find most places, so he knows exactly how each patient is progressing and what changes need to be made to their plans. I am very satisfied with my care, and excited to see what other strides I make in the future. Dr. Haleo is great at his job, very personable, and passionate about his patients. He is absolutely wonderful! I 100% recommend Dr. Haleo!

Complicated visions issues that began with head injuries in my youth. Further complicating the issues was damage to my optics nerves related to a reaction to medication. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Haleo and he clearly explained his evaluation and treatment plan beginning with a very clear verbal explanation of his charges for both the evaluatation and treatment plan and he provided printed confirmation. After agreeing to his program he did an extensive evaluation of my vision. We then scheduled a meeting to evaluate the results, he suggested I bring my wife which I did. I was shocked at the results and we agreed to begin therapy which lasted nearly a year to correct the many issues. The results were outstanding and changed my life. His expertise and dedication to his patients is remarkable. I could not be more pleased with the experience with Dr. Haleo and highly recommend him.

To Whom It May Concern Subject: Eye Care Provided by Dr. Steven L. Haleo My wife, Irene, had a serious stroke during a surgical operation. After the stroke, she had limited use of her left side, particularly her arm and leg, and her eye sight was severely affected by the stroke. She had extensive physical and occupational therapy to help with her mobility. She went to an eye specialist for her eye sight. After extensive testing by technicians, the eye specialist gave her little hope of improving her current condition. She was very disappointed and frustrated with the results of this experience. Then one of her physical therapists recommended that she contact Dr. Haleo. Unlike her experience with the eye specialist, Dr. Haleo personally performed extensive testing and evaluation. Dr. Haleo was very professional and caring in his evaluation and assessment. He was very open and honest about the cost of his services and his plan of treatment. He was very forthright and did not promise improvement, but he offered a course of treatment that would only be continued if real progress was being made. After almost a year of treatment and therapy, Irene has made significant progress. She can now see better and with more detail than she could before being treated by Dr. Haleo. She can read 90% better than before. She can read the moving information banners at the bottom of the TV screen which she could not do before. Her depth perception and peripheral vision are greatly improved, she is no longer afraid to walk. We attribute this success to the dedicated and personal care and treatment provided by Dr. Haleo.
