The ONLY optometrist I trust. Dr. Tappan is the real deal. Sit back and trust the master. A very patient man, great listener and so knowledgeable. You will not find a more qualified optometrist in the coastal bend. I've been in glasses for two decades and he's the best I've found! As an added bonus, it's the most chill doctor's office you'll ever visit.

I drove my mom to get a second opinion on her vision because the previous place I took her to didn't give her the time of day except waiting in the waiting area for the majority of the time. It was many years ago I went to Dr. Tappan and the next time after that I followed a deal I saw and got my exam from a doctor at that place and this Dr. didn't take any time to know me, I was just a number I felt like.
I ran into Dr. Tappan last Sunday and I we chatted and I came to see him again the following Thursday. He is very personable and takes the time to know his patients. He was throughout and answered all my questions I had as well as explained things to me I didn't realize I should know. Go see him if you need an eye exam glasses or contacts.
