my husband received his annual eye exam first time here. We went to order eye prescription for glasses the next day. He ordered two pairs of glasses. when we went and found out the eye prescription was not correct. we had to go back to this office but instead of getting another correct eye exam the office staff just repeated our previous script. if you want to get the wrong prescription and examination go to this place. Rude staff

I had an appointment scheduled for this Wednesday, but canceled it today ( Monday ) due to the rudeness on the phone of the 2 ladies working there. One was young , didn't get her name , the other was Noela, older sounding voice. We were trying to check my insurance and deductible and what I would need to pay on my visit. They were condensing, rude and would just cut me off. Typical of todays customer service. I later called back and talked to the office manager named Tracey. Very nice. Understanding. And she heard my complaints. The Dr I saw there 2 yrs ago was great, but I can't deal with the office ladies attitudes.

If I could give zero stars I would very unprofessional office staff poor communication skills and bad attitude in general when asked simple questions concerning procedures and possible hippa violations

My husbands VA doctor sent him to Dr. Avet. While I'm grateful that Eye Associates of Corpus Christi works with the VA and cares for our veterans, I am also a little disappointed by the overall "stuffiness" of everyone there. While polite, they just seemed to not want to interact with their patients. Dr. Avet was very thorough but after waiting as long as we did for him to come to the exam room it seemed like a very short time he actually spent with us. And we felt a little hurried. At any rate...nothing bad to say just wish everyone working there would lighten up. I agree with one other reviewer about the office being a bit outdated but it's expensive to remodel and redecorate so I get it.

I went there for a "diabetic eye exam", and was tested six ways from Sunday. It was by far the most intense and thorough eye exam I've ever had, including eye dilation, which I was less sensitive to light than past dilations. I experienced nothing but professionalism from Dr. Avet and the staff. Most appreciated were the tips I got on how to avoid eye strain due to a stronger prescription.

What an absolutely terrible experience. My appointment time was at 9:15 and I was not taken back to the examination room till 10:30. The assistant did not wash her hands prior to placing the dilation drops in my eyes which I found very unhygienic, I had to ask for a contact case to take out my contacts. The Dr did not introduce himself and the exam left a lot to be desired. They also DO NOT fit contacts, which should have been explained upon scheduling my appt for a glasses and contacts check up and new prescription. They also DO NOT measure pupillary distance, and it seems to be an inconvenience for them to accommodate this. Overall this was an absolutely terrible experience, and the icing on the cake is they are charged by insurance as a specialist ... so I got to spend extra money on the worst care I have received in quite some time. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I'm very disappointed with my recent visit. I really felt like a number to the staff here. They were very stuffy. I didn't feel like they cared about me or why I was there. I have vision insurance but they didn't file with my vision ins. They filed with my health ins. My health ins. Doesn't cover vision. The doctor seemed nice. I decided against picking out my glasses here and took my eye prescription "to go". They scheduled my next visit, 6 months from now and I stopped them and told them not to worry about that because I wouldn't be back. When I gave my prescription to the place I was getting glasses from, they said it was invalid because the doctor had written on it. They did call the Dr and did finally get the info. What an ordeal!

I would like to thank their office very much for seeing me the day I went by and told them my problem. They called me within 30 minutes and was seen at 11:00 even though they were completely booked. I was taking back by a wonderful caring lady and I thank her very much. I had a painful stye and was given medicine. Thanks again you all. Great job.
