It's aways a wonderful experience with Dr. Allen and Dr. Cadena. I've made sure to keep my insurance in network with the office because I'd hate to go elsewhere after 17 years with them. Great selection of glasses and lenses to choose from.

Me and my husband both went in on 10/28/24 and I absolutely loved everything about my experience. First off the doctor was thorough and explained everything in detail. Not only that everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable about my situation. I will definitely continue going to family vision associates.

Took my 12 year old daughter just recently, & after the exam her eyes were watery. Male doctor said.... i make all the girls cry. Must be the sadist in me. what the heck!!!! Gross. I'll never go back. It was uncomfortable.

As a person who works in the sales industry, I can say it takes one bad apple to ruin the whole bunch. I was having a pleasant experience until someone who wasn't even working with me decided to make a blunt and rude comment. Anyone who works in sales should know the process in overcoming objections. What I had wasn't even an objection just needed something clarified and was met with a rude answer that had me instantly decide I wasn't purchasing my glasses there. I felt the owner needed to know just so he knew he could potentially be missing out on a lot of business if this was the way his staff was treating his clients. When I expressed my concerns to the Owner, he seemed dismissive and uninterested in my concern. In fact he never truly listened to what I was saying. He kept cutting me off with "I'm sorry's and yeah yeah no that shouldn't have happened and I can offer you a discount." I didn't want a discount. I was happy to pay full price if my concern was clarified. Instead I was not only dismissed by the rude employee, but the unconcerned owner as well. I guess you're making so much money you don't care about new business. Could be why I'm the 3rd person in the last week to leave a 1 star review. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place.

I moved to Corpus two years ago, leaving the optometrist I used for more than 40 years. My eyesight is pretty bad and lens prescriptions for me are pretty expensive (upwards of $400). My healthcare does not have eye coverage so finding a competent, knowledgable optician was very important. Family Vision had good reviews so I gave them a try. I could not have been happier! The exam was thorough, customer service was excellent and the lenses were perfect. Not only that, but they were more than $75 less than my previous pair and also came with a one year warranty!! Thanks, you folks will see me in the future! I HIGHLY recommend! Update 8/2/24: I was pretty happy with my lenses as my old ones were terribly scratched. I wore them them for a month but just felt something wasn't quite right. I went back to discuss, they let me see the optometrist again (no charge) and then they made a new set of lenses based on the newer, slightly changed prescription (no charge). Just picked them up...PERFECT!!! Thank you!!

The exam was good, the Dr. was great but the selection was very limited and pricey. $200 with insurance. It took 3 wks for my glasses to come in. After getting them I checked them with my blue light to test blue blocker film that cost me extra and they completely failed. No visible difference. My old glass block 100%. I took them back next morning and showed them. They told me thay had used an economic film bc of my ins. but would take them back and use what thier associates used on their glasses free of charge. 5 weeks later they finally came in. No difference. Still no visable blue light barrier. Thank God I ordered a "cheap" pair of glasses online. They got here within a wk, passed the blue light test, and work well.

The staff is knowledgeable, capable, kind and patient. The doctors are great. My favorite is Dr. Cadena; she narrates what she is doing and gives clear instructions. She is also thorough. Our family drives out of our to go here.

I have been a client/patient of Family Vision for 6 years and I rely on them. My wife does as well. They are always courteous, professional and efficient in my experience. Recently we referred a close friend of ours who was visiting from out of town to them for an emergency procedure and they were well treated and happy with the treatment. I recommend the Family Vision Associates.
