I recommend this place to anyone who has eye problems. The waiting can be a bit long but it's worth it. My baby had been seen by Dr. A since she was probably two months and he just recently left. Great Dr,very patient and gentle with her, sad for him to leave the facility. We were switched to Dr. Montemayor and I was very pleased with him. He explains everything from the beginning to the end and makes sure you understand and also was very gentle with my baby.

I love everyone at South Texas Retina. I love P.A Ed and the new doctor. I do MISS Andrea as she offered me extra support when I first arrived four years ago. I love the guys that take pictures of my eyes as well. I wouldn't go anywhere else!! Just bring Andrea back.

If you have the time to sit in an office with staff that doesn't have any compassion for your time, the doctor is great. You just have to weigh the negatives. Our appointment was at 8:30 am. The door was not unlocked until 8:31am. We were the first ones in the door for our 8:30 appointment and are still waiting. The office has a stern policy about cancelling with less than a 24 hour notice but appears to disregard the patient's time.
I am not complaining from a place of ignorance. I was a technician at an ophthalmology clinic and advanced to manager. 8:50 am called back to a room.

I've been a patient of South Texas Retina since March. Dr Angle is a returning doctor to the practice and has an excellent bedside manner. After dictating my eye issues to his assistant, he sat back and used laymen's terms to explain my current condition to me, and what steps needed to be taken. He instills great confidence toward his patients and makes them feel at ease. Great doctor.
