Horrible experience. First issue: I received 4 text messages asking me to be on time or I would be charged 50 dollars and when I get there, their office was not ready to receive as many patients because one out of three offices was operational. When I asked how long that office was not operational, I was told since the morning. The doctors office didn't even have the courtesy to call their patients to let them know of any delays. After waiting over an hour, I decided to leave. Second issue: This doctors office was attempting to charge me once to see the eye doctor and another fee if I needed a prescription for my glasses. This is illegal after doing some research. After I made the staff aware of this illegal practice, they said that I could either pay or not get that services. I felt horrible for all the people waiting in the waiting room including some senior citizens. Not a place I would ever recommend!

My dad is 90 and didn't have the best experience at this clinic. He had itching swollen eyes and the doctor said nothing was wrong and sent him home with some eye drops that made his eyes a lot worse. After going to the Houston Eye Center, we found out that those drops were the worse thing my dad could have been putting on his eyes. He could barely see by the time we went for a second opinion. Very disappointed in our experience at Romero Opthamologist. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Excellent professional treatment from the time I arrived until I left. Erica, Dr. Ruda, Mrs. Romero and Lon were all fantastic! I've been going to this practice for many years. My prescription is unusual and each time my exam and glasses fitting has been accurate and thorough. When the glasses are delivered there is special attention to fitting them properly and not just passing them on in an envelope. I've encountered too many eye practices who do just that. This practice cares for the patient.

Had a great visit with Dr. Romero's office for my 9 year old yesterday and it was a great experience from start to finish. Paperwork was provided ahead of time to be filled out and brought to the office and only a few other sheets needed signatures while there. The receptionist was thorough and very helpful as well as the rest of the staff we came in contact with. I loved that they greeted everyone in English and Spanish and my son was so comfortable with everyone. Dr. Romero treated my child like a person and not a child patient and was very kind.

Thank you for a very good initial visit. Check in, prep, and of course the exam itself were all very friendly and thorough.

Review is not based on Dr. Romero but his relief doctor. I called the office to ask if the specialize if glaucoma testing and wanted to make sure they perform visual field testing. I was told it was available if needed by the doctor. After a short exam, I was told by the doctor that he had good news and bad news, he said "your nerves looks great but I have glaucoma." The exam did not include OCT imaging or visual fields. I wish he was more clear on the explanation of the diagnosis, causes, and treatment. Before the exam was over he felt the need to give me diet advice. I felt that the visit was not thorough enough so I got a second opinion with another doctor that did additional testing which included OCT images and he stated that I did not have glaucoma. Thank goodness I did because I have been in fear of losing my vision.

Dr. Ruda was very personable and I enjoyed my interaction with him. He was thorough in his exam and answered all my questions in a professional manner. I will definitely be returning to see him for future eye exams.
