Excel Eye Center: Lehi

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. My assistant was Malia, she was fantastic, and Dr. Garlick was so thorough!

Dr Hatch comes into the room with gloves on... I wish he would put the gloves on in the room so you knew they were clean. Even if they are clean coming in, he then continues to touch lots of stuff in the room before touching your eyes.

Just had an Eye Exam with Dr Hatch last Wednesday. He was super thorough and is a great Dr. I will continue to see Dr Hatch for my yearly appts.

I've been seeing Dr. Smalley for years and he's great, so I make the 30 minute drive. The last week we finally upped my prescription but we were testing contact lenses to see if the strength was more than I wanted to deal with, considering it would affect my nearsightedness. A few days later I called to get a slightly lower prescription. I was told Dr. Smalley was gone for a week - out of the office. Apparently there is NO OTHER DOCTOR in the facility who can look at my paperwork, talk with me about what Dr. Smalley and I discussed and write me a prescription for a LOWER powered contact lens. They offered to provide me a sample of a lower power. The office opens at 8:00am tomorrow she said and you can come pick them up. I make the drive and arrive at 8:00am because I'm headed out of town, but the "optometrists"office - who gives out the contact lenses.. they don't open til 9:00am. And, of course, there's "nothing they can do", and I can't hang around postponing my trip another hour. There's more to the story, but for the sake of brevity it's been all around frustration with the office staff and their lack of customer service!! I'll be looking for another eye doctor and facility. Not one hour after THIS experience, I received a call from Sunny - the Clinic Manager - who quite frankly listened to me, apologized for the experience, promised some additional training for staff, and then went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you Sunny for restored faith in customer service! She overnighted a pair of contacts to me while I was traveling, AND a new prescription. I have updated this review because of her.

Dr. Garlick is simply wonderful. He listened to everything I had to say and provided answers to all of my questions. Getting my eyes checked is never an easy experience and he made me feel safe. His staff was fantastic as well. His medical assistant was kind and easy to work with and the front desk staff was fantastic. I highly recommend Excel.

Dr. Lambert was amazing! So helpful, professional and knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions, alleviated my concerns and completed my surgery, giving me better vision than I've had in years. I highly recommend them. I had no pain.

Dr. Garlick and his assistant Malia were awesome! They really Excel :) in their service! Friendly, fast, and Fabulous!!!

I had a piece of metal get stuck in my eye from work. They were amazing at explaining the whole process and getting it removed. The assistant Malia was super awesome and helped me feel at ease. Definitely will come again next time I get something in my eye...Thanks again!
