Dr Josephson is truly a kind and caring doctor. Pre Op came by to talk with me: no rushing and with true sincerity talked thru my concerns, sitting down on the bed to be eye to eye with me. So uniquely kind, authentic and not at all intimidating: exactly opposite. Like having a big brother by your side with comfort and reassurance. A truly special person. Highly recommend! And his office staff are also kind and gentle of disposition. Glad to have been referred to such a wonderful Team & Doctor.
Dr. Joseph and his staff were amazing. From my first appointment to my surgery day everything went smoothly.
Dr. Joseph experience was so much more than I expected. My vision has never been this good and the process was so simple. Most important there was no pain and the staff was so friendly and very professional.
The front desk staff and physician assistants were all at once highly competent and efficient, and at the. same time friendly and warming. Dr.Modak was personable and thoroughly knowledgeable on my evaluation and options. One leaves wishing all one's medical services could be as well delivered
Dr. Josephson was great! EVO-ICL was an easy procedure with a quick recovery. Its been amazing already to not worry about contacts and glasses! Front desk staff and techs were all very polite and professional.
Took me right on time. Very efficient movement through stations, with only minor delays waiting for equipment. Friendly, courteous, professional staff. The D.O. I routinely see is absolutely delightful - great to chat with, even while running the exam. Easy scheduling follow-ups
Highly recommend the practice.
I had Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) surgery with Dr. Josephson, receiving multi-focal toric lenses. The experience with Dr. Josephson's team was fantastic, well-organized and personalized. At every appointment I met with Dr. Josephson and he easily answered all my questions. My eyesight correction was for old eyes - having not worn glasses, then moving to readers, and gradually needing distance as well. The outcome is fantastic! I'm 4 days post op, I can easily read my phone, use the computer, and see distance. I do have the halos on lights at night, but that does not seem like a big deal to me. If they go away, as is the case for many people, bonus! If not, it's a side effect I would happily choose instead of the impaired vision I was living with.
My surgical experience - easy! I arrived and was prepped for surgery including getting Valium to help calm any nerves. First in one eye the laser cuts. It was not comfortable, and apparently I felt more than most patients do, but it wasn't terrible, and it certainly wouldn't stop me from doing it again. This was only a couple minutes. You cannot see what is happening, even though your eyes are open. Mostly it feels like being inside a kaleidoscope, both for the laser and surgery portions. Next was actually placing the lens (what I'm referring to as the surgery). This took a bit longer, and thanks to the Valium I'm not exactly sure of the timing, but understand that's about 15 minutes. Then the whole process is repeated with the other eye. About 2 hours total from arrival to departure.
I could see right away afterwards, but there were protective clear plastic shields and tape over the eyes and I could not read at that point. That afternoon and evening my eyes were uncomfortable and that was helped with ibuprofen. I awoke in the middle of the night without pain. I could not read my phone and saw HUGE halos and was worried about my results (this was less than 12 hours after surgery!). I should NOT have been worried. At 6.30 AM it took effort to read the small print on the phone but by 8 AM it was fine! And the rest of recovery has been a breeze and the vision is great!
Recommend 10/10 both Dr. Josephson and the procedure!
Dr. Josephson and his team were amazing! I had prior consults. Dr. Josephson was the only consult that gave me the comfort with preceding with the LASIK procedure. He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what he was talking about. He was confident and did a very accurate assessment. I was not the typical case since I am extremely near sighted, had corneal epithelial issues with prior flare ups and onset of presbyopia. Dr. Josephson was able to diagnose and swiftly adapt the procedure accordingly. Furthermore, the results of the LASIK procedure were phenomenal. Follow ups were thorough and well explained. All of the staff were amazing and went above and beyond!! Highly highly recommend.
My office visit was pleasant. Everyone was attentive and provided information as needed to help in the decision to have the procedure. All professionals in every way and give you a sense of comfort.
