Sight Studio Optometry

My daughter needed new sunglasses and there weren't any styles she liked at our usual doctor, so we decided to try this place. I can't say I'm terribly pleased with them. They charge a fee for using a credit card and essentially have no return policy for any prescription frames, only a $50 "restyling fee" for exchanging them. I didn't see any signs indicating this information, nor were these policies clearly listed on their website, so I didn't find any of this out until we reached checkout. At least for the frames we selected, there was no warranty. (If you want, you can pay extra and get a warranty for the lenses) When the glasses came in, the prescription itself seemed fine, but the person adjusting the frames did a poor job. (Frames were slightly skewed to one side, but he said to give it a few days to make sure it wasn't an adjustment period problem.) However, the next time my daughter put them on, she noticed that her peripheral vision was blurry. We asked our regular doctor about it after getting a firmer adjustment, and their conclusion was that it was perhaps a difference in frame shape/material quality causing the issue. (As the prescription itself was correct) The glasses are obviously no good for driving, but because the return policy is so lacking, we feel that there isn't much we can do besides keep them. This shop does have very convenient hours and fast service, and since we were only shopping for frames, I cannot speak to the quality of their in-house doctors.

My first time experience with Sight Studio was a super pleasant encounter. Masoud was extremely amazing to work with. He explained in details of how Progressive lenses Work and how they have a gradual increase in magnifying power across the lens. His explanation allowed me to feel comfortable in making a final decision on what to purchase. I feel reassured I made the best move when choosing Sight Studio.

Outstanding support, customer service, and assistance with exams and eyewear selection. Took mangled new glasses and repaired them within minutes! Excellent health care provider!

You always have a wonderful visit at the site studio downtown. Masond is especially helpful and deserves a raise

My family has been going here for years. This time around, there was an accident at the lab where my frames broke at the lab. Kevin was very communicative and made sure to chase down statuses constantly. His expertise helped me get the glasses I need for my day to day life and my eyes are so much better and relaxed. Thank you to the team here, and most especially, Kevin. Please keep doing what you do and know you're all appreciated.

Service was great. The exam was great. The only part that sucks is trying to figure out when this office is actually open as they like to close random days during their posted hours of operation so good luck picking up your glasses when they're ready. I've gone on a Saturday and a Thursday to pick up my glasses and they were closed both times without warning. Do yourself a favor and go to their other office in Central Park.

The front desk staff was welcoming, but my experience with the eye doctor could have been better. Despite repeatedly expressing that the prescribed contacts didn't improve my vision and dried out quickly, my concerns were overlooked. After purchasing and trying the recommended contacts for a month, I discovered they were only meant to correct astigmatism, not enhance my sight. This important detail was not communicated to me. Now, over 90 days later, I'm stuck with unusable contacts and am required to pay for a new eye exam. I wouldn't recommend this place for those new to contact lenses or anyone seeking a patient and communicative optometrist.
