Dr. Myers-Powell is amazing at her profession. She does have a fast paced well organized practice, and whenever I have asked for further clarification or more explanation, she always takes the time to clearly explain any questions. Her staff is great and always friendly. I sometimes have a negative reaction to treatment and the staff are always there to help me recover quickly with anything I need. I've even received follow up calls on the weekend to make sure I'm doing well after a treatment. I'm extremely happy with the care provided and find it hard to imagine anyone else providing this level of care for my vision.

I went to Dr Powell after 2 years of treatment and surgery by another Retina Clinic in Federal Way. In comparison, she is more analytic, thoughtful and professional in explaining my condition. (It is never just an in and out experience.) My eyesight is precious to me, and I now feel like I am in the right clinic with a highly qualified staff and doctor. Yes, the wait is sometimes more than I would like, but often this is because Dr Powell takes hospital emergency patients as well as her regular scheduled patients.

Been seeing Dr. Brenda M Powell for 3 yrs since moving here. Treated for BRVO with injections, I love Dr. Powell she is very thorough explains in detail everything, answers your questions, goes out of her way to help you. Yes, this office is very busy, but since I've been here my vision seems to have improved, treatments lasts longer. They are serious about Covid and I appreciate that. So if you have a wait its worth it.

I am beyond flabbergasted by the experience I had. This clinic is very unprofessional in how they treat their patients. Dr. Brenda Meyers-Powell did diagnose me (although I am getting a second opinion). The woman who did my triage was wonderful and I do hope she can find a clinic where she is treated with respect. In order to improve, this clinic needs to treat patients with respect and kindness, especially when many patients are going through something severe. Dr. Brenda Meyers-Powell should avoid taking personal calls during appointments, calling other doctors idiots, and yelling at her staff and calling them idiots. I have never came across a person who is so cold and rude. Dr. Brenda Meyers-Powell - I hope you can find a little more joy in life and find a job that truly makes you happy.

Dr Brenda Myers Powel is excellent Dr and I would like to highly recommend her and this place to anyone who had any problem with retina. All staff here is very friendly. I came from Bosnia and couple months after I went here to check my retina. Whole my life I didn't have idea that my retina was in bed shape. On my first visit 2012, Dr Myers scheduled me for a laser surgery (everything was so smooth) and from that day I have every year checking. She is so professional, friendly, and she always explained me everything. I am only afraid if I ever move from WA who will be my new retina specialist. I want to thanks to nurses Erina and Kellsey and front desk lady Mikaela, great job!

I will be as unbiased as I possibly can as this office has offended me deeply on behalf of the Medicaid community. I had been advised (incorrectly according to the office manager) that if a patient has Medicaid, not billing their insurance is considered fraud. When the office manager, we'll call her "E", contacted me later, I was advised Dr Myers-Powell said their office had been "right" and according to Molina, it is in fact ok to see a Medicaid patient without billing that insurance. I stand corrected, and did on the phone as well. I was then told that it was up to me to decide whether or not I wanted to continue the blood thinner Dr Myers-Powell had put me on for either a retinal artery dissection, or aneurysm (the first pictures they took were not detailed enough to determine which, just that it was one of the two). I am not a doctor or a clinical specialist and I do not know on what to base such a decision, but it is apparently up to me. I was told that I had to pay my $53 Bill I received less than 30 days ago AND my primary insurance copay in order to be seen. They had my appointment scheduled for two weeks and had not attempted to contact me about this before I arrived to check in fifteen minutes prior to my appointment. What offended me was when E said I am not the only Molina patient they'd had to "deal with" in situations like these and that the provider sees Medicaid patients INSTEAD of traveling to developing countries to "give back". Biased: deal with in situations like these? You mean the provider throwing around words like "arterial dissection" and "retinal artery aneurysm" then not seeing me for further necessary pictures because my $53 bill is outstanding and I can't pay my commercial copay? Also clearly the office does not care about privacy or discretion because E sat out in the lobby loudly discussing my Medicaid situation and I was forced to keep speaking up as she could not understand me through my mask. I was embarrassed and made to feel like Medicaid is a scarlet letter. Shame on all of you for making anyone feel that way, let alone someone who has been scared for the past two weeks because of an unexplained diagnosis. I'll be finding a new doctor that probably won't accept Medicaid, so I'll leave them out of it, because apparently that's something I can do

I began seeing Dr Myers-Powell many years ago when she was involved in a practice at Valley Medical Center. I saw her due to some developing retinopathy from my long term type-1 diabetes. Dr Myers-Powell is one of the best eye doctors I have ever had the good fortune of seeing. I have followed her over the years to her current practice here at Retina Specialists NW. Not only is she very professional, she is very considerate of my opinions of my treatment. She has spelled out issues for me in a no-nonsense way. Additionally she keeps a top notch staff on hand. I would recommend Dr Myers-Powell to anyone who has eye issues.

Fast paced, over-scheduled office. It feels like the primary concern here is getting patients in and OUT as quickly as they can. There isn't a wealth of information shared about treatment, and things are explained rather hurriedly. My Dad has said his injections here have been quite painful in comparison to other macula physicians he has seen. Having the ability to compare has been a benefit, as we know now that these injections have been needlessly painful. The support staff is nice here, but when patient comfort is not of much concern during procedures- it's time to find a new doctor.
