Allegany Optical

Anyone that relies on glasses to see clearly should avoid this source of testing and glasses. You only have one set of eyes. Frames are generic and of poor quality often breaking just days out of warranty with "we're sorry, come in and we'll see if we can match the lens to a new frame, doesnt happen so you ate faced with buying out pocket a new pair. PD not measured properly.

Getting the eye exam was easy and the doctors were very nice. I went to Alleghenie optical in Winchester and had an eye exam and glasses fitted and had received my glasses back within a week. The Martinsburg location has taken over 3 weeks to receive my glasses! And folk wanna know y we take our business out of town to Hagerstown or Winchester. Better service!!!

So after being out all morning, I drove my dad to Allegany Optical on Foxcroft Ave in Martinsburg for an eyeglass repair. He was tired so he waited in the car. When the glasses were fixed (free, even though they were from a VA optometrist), the lady took them OUT to him in the parking lot to make sure they fit okay! Really great service. I'll be going back.

We had an eye injury. I took my daughter to Allegheny instead of the emergency room, thinking they would be better able to see what was going on. It was a very good decision. Dr. Guzic realized the severity of the injury and arranged for us to see a retinal surgeon. He called our home at 9pm that evening to see how she was doing. Wonderful care.

I had an appointment for my eye exam today at 2:15pm. When I routed on maps, it directed me to MyEyeDr on foxcroft. Since they had sent me a confirmation text the previous day to confirm my appointment, and the text read "allegany optical, now part of myeyedr", I assumed that that this place that google maps took me to, was in fact Allegany. Anyhow, I reached the place at 2:15 on the dot. I went inside to check in, and the lady there told me I was at the wrong location. When asked where the right place was, she said that the clinic had changed the name to MyEyeDr and it was no longer called Allegany and it was across the street near Walmart. So I immediately called the number they had sent in the confirmation text (2:20pm exactly) and Alice (the receptionist, I am guessing) answered. I explained my situation and told her that I was somewhere close by and wanted to confirm directions with her. She put me on hold, came back and told me I had to reschedule! I was taken aback at that response and told her that I was at the other myeyedoctor location and was somewhere close by. But she wouldnt hear me out, in fact responds back saying "you have to reschedule, its 2:21pm". I am so upset at Their rude and unapologetic behavior ! Who the heck reschedules an appointment for being 5 mins late?! That too when it's their fault for not providing the correct information?! Unbelievable!!! I did not want to waste another minute on them, so I refused their service and never am returning to this place again!! No wonder I need an eye exam, I could have found myself a better eye center!

They canceled my appointment because of snow. When I called back to make another appointment, their computer was not working and they told me to call back in a few days, after I asked them to call me. They refused to call me. I think it is the new generation. Poor customer service.

Great place to get contacts and glasses. Very friendly staff . Paige was great helping me find what I needed ! Thank again

Honestly the lady who helped me to get my glasses was kinda rude.
